There's more to innovation success than coming up with unique ideas. Once you have a special idea, you still need to get enough other people on board to make it come to life. In this module, Jonathon explains how you can overcome the trap of thinking that a great idea is all you need. For this, Jonathon introduces the three "pathways to adoption:" Creatives, Sponsors and Stories.

For Creatives, Jonathon tells the story of a junior scientist at Pfizer who had an idea for a dual-flavor, modular lip balm product, but didn't know where to start. Coming from a scienctific perspective, his approach was limited until he started sharing his idea with the design team. The story illustrates how important it is for us to consider who our allies in innovation are within our company and how we can reach across silos to get input and support for an idea before we bring it up the ladder.
