Traps of Success

Instructor: Jeremy Gutsche
In this module, Jeremy introduces the traps of success by looking at how the past success of large companies can in fact be their biggest disadvanage, and can lead to complacency. For evolutionary reasons, we are prewired to be loyal, consistent, and disciplined about our craft. These traits serve us well, enabling us to provide for our families and thrive in organizations. However, these same traits also have a darker side, which is that success makes us complacent, repetitive, and protective.

Jeremy introduces Trend Hunter's Innovation Assessment tool as way to identify where these traits exist both on an individual level and within organizations. Self-awareness is key to understanding how your innate tendencies and behaviors can be prevent you from reaching your full potential and capturing new opportunity. Take the assessment for yourself to discover your Innovation Archetype and learn how your dominant traits may be holding you back.
Workshop Question:
How are you counteracting the traps of your own success?
